Mon. 17 Feb, 2025 | News: A tragic incident occurred this morning, June 13, 2025, in Hohoe, where a female student preparing for her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at Hohoe was knocked down by a motorbike rider.

The student sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby health facility for medical attention. Fortunately, she is responding to treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

The accident happened early in the morning as the student was heading to early morning Prep at the Blessed Prepatory School to prepare for her exams before heading towards her exams centre at HEPSS.

The incident highlights the importance of road safety, particularly for motorists, students and young people. Thankfully, the timely intervention of medical personnel has ensured the student is receiving the necessary care.
